The generic Webcam driver is part of the operating system and not available for download. Is it possible that I can download driver HP TrueVision HD camera in my computer to see if it is a driver problem or hardware? Appreciate your help in advance. Looks like one of the two options: either driver webcam has been removed from the computer or a hardware problem with the camera. However, computer does not detect the TrueVision HD driver, it detects some other driver out of place and combine it with imaging device. When I click Add legacy hardware (in the Device Manager Action menu) imaging devices appear in the list. However, imaging devices has not appeared.

I tried for portable stop, remove the battery and press the power button for 10 seconds, as has been noted in this web site. When I looked through the Device Manager, it appeared that the imaging devices category had disappeared from the Device Manager list. Thus, neither Skype nor Youcam can see the camera on my laptop. When the webcam did not work on my Skype I downloaded Youcam, but it does not detect the camera as well. Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1. Its model number is QA398EA. An additional message, is that my computer is slow. The error message is that the webcam is not detected. What is the full error message that you receive? I tried to reinstall the driver using the given cd but I get an error message. I think I might have deleted a program associated with.
